In the area of spine surgery treatments Stockholm Care work primarily together with Center for Spine Surgery. Center for Spine Surgery opened in 2016 in completely new and state-of-the-art premises with the latest technology. The clinic is centrally located in Stockholm  in quiet surroundings. The clinic has eight surgeons with extensive experience in all kinds of spine surgery and they perform approximately 1500 spine surgeries per year. That makes it one of the largest spine clinics in Scandinavia. The staff are trained to take care of their patients and give a very high quality of care, both before and after surgery. Back and neck pain is very common, and many people will experience it at some point in their lives. Usually the symptoms are harmless and transient and are not in need of surgical treatment. However, sometimes the symptoms can be more persistent and give pain that radiates into the limbs, loss of sensation or weakness. The symptoms may be caused by changes in the spine such as, e.g. osteoarthritis and disc herniation that can affect the nerves. The diagnosis can be determined using magnetic resonance imaging. If the symptoms significantly affect function and quality of life, an operation can be considered.
