Rehab Station Stockholm
Rehab Station Stockholm is an affiliate of Praktikertjänst, Sweden’s largest private health care provider. We offer a medical, scientific and forward thinking approach to medical rehabilitation for people with spinal cord injuries, orthopedic injuries, stroke, multiple sclerosis or general neurological problems. Regardless of diagnoses, our goal is for each patient to regain or maintain an active role in society, with a high degree of autonomy and good quality of life.
Each patient receives a custom-tailored, personalized rehabilitation plan and is surrounded by a handpicked multidisciplinary team with expertise in rehabilitation medicine, neurology and pain management. The Spinalis Clinic at the Karolinska University Hospital is located at Rehab Station Stockholm, and we also have close collaboration with Karolinska Institute, one of the world’s leading SCI research centers.
Individual treatment teams
At our training facility, in-patients and out-patients get to train in the skills needed to live a normal everyday life. Many of the rehabilitation instructors use wheelchairs themselves, and teach from their own experience.
The multidisciplinary teams are comprised of:
- Neurology specialists
- Physicians in rehabilitation medicine
- Rehabilitation instructors
- Occupational therapists
- Speech therapists
- Health Coaches
- Sexology/Fertility Counselors
On the premises we have wheelchair accessible single rooms, a fully equipped gym and a restaurant. All in-patients also have access to cable TV, Wi-Fi and telephone. Relatives are welcome to stay in our guestrooms, and other family accommodations can also be arranged nearby. We are located in The Royal National City Park, only 10 minutes from central Stockholm and 25 minutes from Arlanda Airport.
